What's Happening in June

June kicks off with Marylebone's highlight and its a biggie. This year sees the 20th anniversary of the Marylebone Summer Festival on 9th June. And we are very excited to be a part of it. As well as plenty of outdoor experiences, restaurants, and art, June really is one of the best times to enjoy London.

Marylebone Summer Festival
Taking place from 11am-5:30pm (until 8pm in Paddington Street Gardens), the 20th anniversary of the festival is bigger and better than ever. Consisting of family-friendly activities, shopping, dining, a community dog show, fitness challenges and much more, head on over and meet us on Marylebone High Street on 9 June to join in on the summer merriment Marylebone Village has to offer. There will be alfresco bars and dining allowing you to soak up the buzzing atmosphere, and an abundance of street stalls offering food and beverages from local cafes and restaurants, and selling products from fashion and lifestyle brands. The retailers in Marylebone Village will also be running a host of in-store activations and exclusive discounts, whilst restaurants will be rolling out special menus and offers for the day.

Summer nights are only made better with after-hours at London Zoo every Friday. Guests will have the chance to join in on guided tours, have an after-dark look at the brand-new reptile house and enjoy live music, paired with food and drinks from pop-up stalls. Opera Holland Park
For an evening out with a difference, Opera Holland Park is a sensation summer evening, with critically-acclaimed performances, surrounded by beautiful formal gardens and woodlands in west London. The current production The Barber of Seville is fantastic for both opera aficionados and those who are new to the genre. Rossini's comedy is a fast-paced show with brilliantly inventive arias and ensembles. But this is much more than what's happening on stage. Get a hamper by local restaurant Il Portico comprising classic Italian and modern Mediterranean dishes available to eat at the venue's picnic tables ahead of the show.
The Barber of Seville is at Opera Holland Park, 4-21 June 2024. Various other productions are happening throughout the summer too

An in-depth look at the complexities of addiction, Gough’s performance attracted praise for its brave and realistic exploration of the issues faced by drug users.
