June in Marylebone
There's no finer month to be in Marylebone. As the days stretch long and the village spills out onto its pavements, our corner of London comes alive with summer energy, pop-ups, festivals, music and art, much of it within a few minutes' stroll of The Mandeville's front door. Here's our guide to making the most of June, right on your doorstep and beyond.
Marylebone Summer Festival
The local calendar's crowning moment arrives on Sunday 14 June, when Marylebone High Street and the surrounding streets are pedestrianised from 11am to 5pm, with live music continuing until 8pm in Paddington Street Gardens. Expect around 100 artisan food, drink and retail stalls, a wellness zone, a children's funfair and dog-friendly fun, including the "Bark in the Park" dog show, canine circus and a Puppuccino bar. It's a summer fête dialled up to eleven, and entirely free to wander into.
Marylebone Music Festival
Just behind the hotel, Manchester Square Gardens hosts a week-long celebration of music from 17–21 June. Highlights include Bach and jazz in the gardens, a night of music with Sue Perkins, a Mozart Mass, choral events led by Gareth Malone, and, on Friday 19 June, the Orion Orchestra performing the scores of Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Open-air, intimate and quietly magical after dark.

'Relative Forms' at Grey Flannel
For an evening of art, the Chiltern Street tailor hosts an exhibition by artist and printmaker Peter Isepp on Thursday 25 June, 5–8pm. His "Relative Forms" series presents a collection of brutalist prints exploring architecture, form and colour — how structures emerge within landscapes to create a sense of place — alongside a small number of objects crafted in Italy.

The Wallace Collection
Minutes away on Manchester Square, this free national museum pairs its peerless permanent galleries with "Winston Churchill: The Painter" (until 29 November 2026), the first major retrospective of his work since his death, gathering more than 50 paintings.
Across the city
The capital is at its summer best: Trooping the Colour fills The Mall with ceremonial pageantry on 13 June, and Wimbledon begins on 29 June for the tennis faithful.
