Winter in London - Part 2

London has plenty to offer the culture-lover with the slanket-shunning itchy feet throughout the winter months, so you won't be bored for a second here. This weekend had the city's most impressive arts display with Lumiere London. A city-wide art installment which saw streets and historic buildings across London lit up by innovative and awe-inspiring light fixtures, as the works of 20 different artists are illuminated and displayed right above our very heads.

Champagne Life at The Saatchi Gallery

Charles Saatchi kicks off his gallery’s thirtieth birthday celebrations with a show entirely by women artists. The show forces powerful one-on-one encounters with work by emerging artists including Saudi artist Maha Malluh’s wall covered with burnt cooking pots titled ‘Food for Thought – Al-Muallaqat”, as well as London-based Australian Sigrit Holmwood, whose work creates an almost sci-fi atmosphere in a room of its own. Titled ‘Champagne Life’, inspired by a work by the show’s star Julia Wachtel, it is a vastly varied display from astounding women in 2016.
